I criticize Baraendur for responding to Remathilis and Tallarn while ignoring my highly relevant initial response to Baraendur's rant. I insinuate that if Baraendur weren't afraid of being shown wrong, he would have responded to me and not bothered with other, unworthy messages.

All the while, I am hoping that orbitalfreak, who did respond to my initial post, doesn't see my current post and catch the apparent hypocrisy of my current comments.

Is so angry at the tone of the thread, and events in life in general, that he misses the apparent hypocrisy of Mark Chance's comments. Comments that this rule could have been helpful IRL when trying to wrangle a pot-bellied pig earlier today, the source of aforementioned anger at life in general.

Adds fuel to the fire by citing a ruling made by SKR and another interpretation made by Monte Cook. Ignoring the fact that the two interpretations are incompatible, states "I agree with both of them."

Tries to close with a pithy comment, but makes fool of himself in the process.

Face contorts in anger as I come back and realize that the thread is still growing. Reports thread to mods and then makes a quick post calling Tallarn and Silver Moon many choice names, some of which are edited by the boards.

Posts quote from Baraendur from months ago that is totally unrelated to anything he has said so far. Point out that it is stuff like this that makes him so kewl and misunderstood by the gaming community at large.

Then mention that his idea on some game mechanic's brokenness is a bit off the mark. Suggest that it might be his new medication. End with obligatory IYKWIMAITYK, YMMV, IANAL,

I make the statement that a game mechanic we are all familliar with is absolutely broken! Not only is it poorly designed, but power gamers with certain class/feat combinations have way too easy a time dealing massive amounts of damage against anything they happen to encounter with the use of this game mechanic.

This is a calm response, reasoned well enough. However, the poster only read the first paragraph of the first post, and is ignorant of the points and jokes made in further posts.

Probably a repetition of an earlier argument, which is obvious in nature and bland in tone. Passive voice is used.

Lame pun, intended to garner attention, which might have been lost by passive tone!

Notes Nifft's passive tone and the fact that he is duplicating an argument made throughout the entire first page. Disparages the notion of subscribing to that line of thought and suggests that it is way too politically correct, thus inherantly incorrect.

Makes mistake and refers to Nifft as the Penguin (wah! wah! wah!). Accidentally forgets to comment on Remathilis' last comment, while noting that Starman is absolutely correct about me, the gaming community, and books written in the present tense, but mostly about me.

Disagree that I am off the mark. In fact, adamantly insists that my point is absolutely correct. Post a reply received from Wizards customer service that supports my interpretation. Fail to mention the fact that the reply from Wizards customer service was actually written by me without consulting R&D to make sure my interpretation is correct.

End with a plea to keep all comments on topic, civil, and to not allow this to degenerate into another flame war. (yeah right!)

Quotes exact wording of mechanic in question, launches into overly long explanation of each word (up to and including links to on-line dictionary like this one), makes misguided and vain attempt to reconcile all points of view as correct, throws in a couple of long words clearly garnered from a thesaurus just to add a touch of elitism, makes intentional obscure reference to medieval french poetry, and points out that the picture of John Locke looks suspiciously like a certain appendage challenged feline moderator.

I am offended! I am clearly so offended the I am typing much to fast and not sepll checking at all. Baraendur has offendeded me, my family and in fact everything I hold dear, because while I am in fact a half-hunefer drow elven thin blade weapon master, I did it because my character's father, Steve the Hunafer, was killed by Larry the elven thin blade rogue/duelist/templar who kidnapped me from my drow/half dragon mother Tiamat. Clearly, it was only through long and painstaking "ROLEPLAYING" that my character has come to be, and how could YOU call my gaming group (and by extension anyone I have ever know [even my Mom, you monster]) powergaming cheese-monkeys when clearly we are the heart and soul of true ROLEPLAYING.

Furthermore, Errata is the child of the Devil himself, and it is bunk like that that has tricked America's young into believing that the moon landing was real. Because, as all right thinking people know, the text is canon, using house rules indicates defective thought processes and perhaps you should read the text before trying to use your merely mortal mental powers to 'correct' the true rules.

Why yes, we do have a Ninja of the Cresent Moon in the group, his character history is even more interesting than mine.

Voraciously defend not only my position, but also make a case for why Burne should not have the RIGHT to be offended by anything I say. Much of this has to do with the fact that he's an admitted ROLEPLAYING cheesemonkey.

Breaking my own vow to stay on topic, Also go on a side-rant for why the moon landing was NOT a hoax. Back this up with a claim that I once met an astronaut who had been to the moon (although it might have just been some elderly person with alzheimers, but I don't admit that). Question how in the world people will ever believe it when we go to Mars and find life when they don't even believe we've been to our closest neighboring stellar body.

Wrap up this side rant with some motivational speech about how we must travel to the stars to avoid losing our species when our sun inevitably goes nova (ends up sounding a little too much like Capt. Picard on one of his pretentious speeches).

I skim the first post in the thread, and ignoring all previous replies, poorly argues something that has already been resolved in some previous post, and is completely ignored by all other posters.

ps. I never bother to check if there has been any replies to my argument either.

Returns to thread to see too many new messages. Does a "Find in Page" for own name. Ignores Baraendur in an effort to teach him a lesson, but cannot pass up this challenge:

Berates both LightPheonix and Mark Chance for attempting to hijack the thread, totally ignoring the hypocracy of the statement.

Complains at length that the use of the term "hijack" is offensive in its insensitivity to people who have been victims of real hijacking. Defines hijacking and all of its derivatives, such as skyjacking and carjacking, providing examples and statistics for each. Accuses Silver Moon of conversational terrorism.

Cautions obitalfreak about making any reference to farm animals in the thread. Explains bizzare conspiracy theory about how the prior similar thread was closed shortly after references were made to the killing of a cow, and how animal rights activists had put undue pressure on the Mods to do so. Fails to provide any context about the prior reference having been a vampire cow from a 25-year-old comic book.

Similarly cautions Mark Chance to avoid the use of the word terrorism, as that too will get the thread closed for being too political.

Displays complete hypocracy by then launching into a side tangent regarding modern religion, which is sure to get the thread closed.

Assigns Arwick a chapter in the Gibberling Project pertaining to the D20 Deadlands game. Also asks Baraendur to write 10-12 pages regarding the rule that began this thread, due to its application to the Gibberling Paladin, to include in Volume I and also to keep this thread partially on topic.

Points out that Randomling is from England, so YMMV would not be valid there as they do not use Mileage. Also points out that "Yummy Mountains of Marshmellow and Vanilla" is the true use of that acronym.

Attaches picture from the 1960's sit-com "F-Troop" for no particular reason.

Edits typo, then once again claims edit was for a follow-up clarification rather than a mistake.
