The "C" movies, Cop Out & the Crazies, did not have enough clout to knock last week's number one movie Shutter Island but did have enough cash to keep Avatar in the number four spot.

Avatar's 73 day totals:
Domestic: $706,904,000 (28.5%) + Foreign: $1,775,000,000 (71.5%) = Worldwide: $2,481,904,000

Avatar's ability to continue to draw is absolutely amazing. Shutter is doing better than I expected. Both the "C" movies are also doing so. I'm surprised Percy is doing that much better (better at all?) than Wolfman but if that keeps Hollywood developing marginally interting fantasy books, I shouldn't sqawk.

Will be interesting to see what happens when the next big 3-D movie Alice in Wonderland comes out. I think it'll do superb numbers.

I put it on line with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, about a 50 million opening weekend and 200 million domestic take. Worldwide will be 450 million.
