Thought on 3.5 (death of the splatbooks?)

I'm guessing they will address the enlargement issue, Hit Dice, and their spellcasting. The rest of the PrC is pretty cut 'n dry.

"another old book the Fat Beards remember"

Hey! I represent that statement. (Like many of us...)

I do think you are right, we're likely to see a UA 3.5E. Or maybe it will be the embodiment of 3.75E or something.

Frankly, I wish they would have come up with new names, rather than recycle the old ones. I still play 1E, and *I'm* not so nostalgic that I think the new version's books should be named after the old ones.

Having said that, the PHB, DMG, and MM names are pretty hard to argue with, as functional as they are.

I'd like it (the enlargement) totally removed, annihilated, obliterated, and forgotten. If a template-granting prestige class is going to grant things that are not in the template, at least they could give things that would fit better (like wings regardless of size).

Party Role: The Shadowdancer

Situational: The Loremaster

Okay, can someone explain to me what the difference is between a "Party Role" and a "Situational" PrC? They look pretty much the same to me.

The examples given are "sneaky guy" and "smart guy". Both are effective in some situations, and both fill out a typical party role.

Unless WotC can clarify this, I really hope they decide to combine the two types into one.
