Eh , I disagree with your use of this analogy. And I will one-up you by giving a similar, equally bad analogy.

Bit jammed up right now so can't get to this yet. But never fear! When I get a sec I'll respond with where I agree and disagree with your analysis and your equally bad analogy.

Then I'll see your equally bad analogy and raise you an even worse, less applicable analogy.

Consider yourself warned. I played 4 years semi-pro crappy analogy ball. I would have gone pro if I didn't end up tearing my logic-fail.

Formal or informal? Formal logic-fails take years of rehab, I've heard, and you never really come back 100%. It's a career-ender for many a philosopher.

Formal.

But given the collateral damage to my informal, it was really just a formality.

I was on the shelf so long, I had time to run a full Dark Sun game.

4 PCs. All Muls. They each made it to level 4 before they began mulling over ideas for new characters.

When I went to my Introduction to Formal Logic class, I wore a tuxedo.

For some reason, my professor did not find it appropriate, despite the course description.
Well, at least Introduction to Formal Logic had a course description. My Introduction to Informal Logic class was in the cafeteria, and held whenever the professor decided to show up. To this day, I still haven't gotten credit for it.
