tile layovers for effects?

My FLGS handed me a set of plastic tiles with various effects (lightening, acid, poison, etc) that can be cut out and laid over dungeon tiles. I'm sure I missed a discussion on here about them. Can anyone shed any light? They look like something Wizard's might have sent as a DM reward.

I saw some 3rd party products a while ago. Don't remember who made them though.

I got a set from the owner of my FLGS this week. They were part of the swag given to store owners for attending an event for them in Seattle, they were never part of the DM rewards program.

They do look like the 3.5 spell template that were part of the player rewards back in the day, but they are for 4e instead.

Does anyone know exactly what the DM reward for this season of Encounters is? The last chapter is coming up so I'd imagine they shipped the DM reward with that packet. This could be it, if nobody knows for sure what it was supposed to be.

The DM rewards for Season 3 of DDE were part of the first kit (Ch. 1) and were ongoing damage cards for each type of damage (with illustrations).

I do not believe they will be sent in the final kit. Whoever organizes (or receives) the kits should have had them and given them out to judges by now. Or, they could be holding on to them for the end of the season...
