Anyone see the Timeline trailer? I saw it on the DVD for The Core? It's a time-travel back to the 14th century movie. Looks like it could be really great or really bad, but I'm certainly willing to give it a shot. What do you all think?

I read the book. The trailer looked okay, not really thrilled with it. The book was also okay; a good read but nothing special.

I loved the book. Great story..I'll definatly see the movie, but I'm not sure it'll live up to the book.

If they enforce the themes of the book, and keep the tone, this will be a movie that I'll want to see.

I didn't like Sphere as a movie. We'll see how this one turns out.

Unlike other Crighton books I've read, Timeline felt like it was a movie script. He wrote it with the intention of making it into a movie. I found this to be profoundly disappointing. He could have done better, but didn't even try.

I'll prolly catch the movie as a rental or on cable.

The book had some good ideas, especially the idea that the Dark Ages weren't really all that dark. And that the modern view of older civilizations being so much inferior to our own is largely just a myth. I don't think Hollywood would dare to promote such notions in a film like this, though.
