TimeWatch, my new GUMSHOE time travel RPG -- bloggage aplenty!

Thanks! I really can't wait to hear about how people are playing the game. There's a lot of potential for mind-bending fun.

Fine with me. I'll probably have androids in there if we hit a stretch goal, and since race is generally a simple matter of description, not mechanics, you could play anything that fits the tone of your game and that you and the GM agree on. For instance, in a pulp game I'd play an awakened gorilla by building an agent with high athletics and scuffling; the rules don't care if that agent is a human, a gorilla, or something else.

Note to self: write an adventure where a scientist awakens gorillas and transports them back in time. Because AWESOME.

You know why I ask, right? If I ever play your game, some incarnation of Dr. Zeus would be high on my list of potential PCs...

I want Marty, Doc Brown, and the terminator from T2 in a Tardis... how hard would that game be to build?

Utterly simple. Doc and Marty are regular agents, although they're both a little underpowered compared to the default TimeWatch agent (which is not really a problem.) I've already statted out a T-1000 using the normal rules for playtest games, and it's a joy to see in action.

As far as the TARDIS is concerned, you don't even need stats for that. No problem there.

And that was the reminder I needed to really get into Gumshoe and see how it works.

Night's Black Agents + The Blacklist: here I come....

I'm going to try to sell my group on a TimeWatch campaign. This sounds too good not too. When can I throw money at it?

Though I might have to wait until we play some 13th Age.

13th Age is fantastic, you won't go wrong there. But thanks! Right now, looks like the Kickstarter will launch in a little more than a week. I'll holler when it does.
