No worries. The timing does look to have some subtle implications.

Only if the fighter uses the help action to negate the blur, right?

Otherwise the "within 5 feet" is negated by disadvantage.

Your right, this was the part I was missing myself.


If the fighter is within 5 feet, the rogue does not need advantage to get SA. HOWEVER, if the Rogue EVER has disadvantage, there is no SA....period.


I will admit to missing that in my 5-6 readings of the basic rules
