Just one: thedangerranger, one of my best friends and a longtime gaming buddy. He's lurked for a while, and has 1 post. ;)

I'm hoping to meet folks from the boards for the first time at GenCon Indy. :)

I sat near Eric Noah during a seminar at GenCon 2000 - does that count? I was too shy to say hello; didn't want to bother him. I forget how I recognized him back then... maybe he had on an EN World t-shirt or something.

You should introduce yourself next time. He's one of the nicest (and most non-threatening!) people you'll ever meet. And besides, he's used to hundreds of strange people walking up and saying hi, so even if you're a weirdo go talk to him. Actually I heard he likes weirdos. :D

Leave Piratecat alone though, he'll follow you around for the rest of the con all the way back to your hotel room. Spooky. :)

I've met lots of people from here at GenCon and have gamed with some of them in between Con's. PCat was kind enough to invite me to one of his games while I was on a business trip in Boston, and I almost got to go to the NC game day recently to game with a bunch more folks, but work intervened. Just like it is now...bye!

I know at least two people who post here from college, and who I have gamed with before. Though I believe we all signed up independently, and I have only posted on a thread they have posted on once or twice.

I have no idea if anyone from the town I'm in now posts here. If so they and I have yet to identify ourselves. I do so a good many posters from my state and cities I have formerly lived in.

I've met quite a few, but I'm not sure where to divide the line between "met" and "know".

I think I'll define "know" as those who have either been to my home or I have been to theirs:

........

Liquide (He moved into my home for a month! :D)

........

Well that was due to many bad things happening at the same (wrong) time.

(who would suspect a snowstorm to actually close the airports, IN ENGLAND)

But back on track

Who do I know/met in person

Morrus (yup lived in his apartment for a month :D and ate too much of his food and spent way too much of his money (I actually counted how much I owe him and will send them back to him), and I can assure you he has a very comfy sofa).

Ravellion Nice dutch chap that had managed to remove his dutch accent 'til he met me.

Tallarn Very nice fella, albeit a bit shy ;) (also managed to break his glasses)

alsih2o Good flashback from the 60's :D (alsih2o know what I mean), actually managed to NOT destroy anything for this lad and he is a very nice guy.

Frostmarrow Lives in the same town as me and is a gamer so we know eachother through gaming and the local rpg/tabletop club.

And Inconsequenti-AL (only met him briefly at a pub), nice person that I wouldn't mind taking a beer with again.

And for people I only know online from these boards would make a way to long list and I would forget to mention someone so hi folks you know who you are :)

Well, let's see...

Doc Nuncheon introduced me to EnWorld, for which I am grateful. :)

The poster formerly known as Fluffaderm is my wife. I have, in fact, met her in person! ;)

Once a month or so, we play Pulp Heroes with Doc Midnight, Shadow64, Pirate Cat, Dave Lozzi and some other fine non-ENWorlders.

Shadow64 was kind enough to introduce me to Sir Osis of Liver (in person, at least).

Having attnded a couple of Boston game days, I've had the pleasure of meeting Kid Cthulhu (a gracious hostess) and the following (very) incomplete list of posters:

Larry Fits, Nemmerle, Wulf Ratbane, Dareoon Dalendrove, Chromosome, Mearls, Kip the Bold (I think, not sure, sorry) and probably a dozen more who I can't recall just now.

The best part is, so far every ENWorld board member I've met has been cool. Bonus! :)

Oh, Jeebus...so many! But then again, there's a difference between "met" and "know". :)

The last EN Worlder I hung out with was Dr. Midnight. We recorded a version of Black Sabbath's "Solitude" together...

Before that, it was Piratecat, Kahuna Burger, and Graybar (in-store pirate game)...

Before that, Nemmerle. He bussed from New York to visit.

Before that, Kip the Bold...I've been friends with him since middle school...

And then of course there's everyone I've ever gamed with or met via Piratecat (KidCthulu, Gospog, Conaill, Sagiro, Daeron, Mearls, Wulf Ratbane...so many more...)

....
.
...

Lots, I guess. :)

Ravellion (He has visited me twice, although the second time he just spent 3 days planted in front of the Playstation 2...)
Out of 5. Yes, a bit sad, but it was fun :)

I have met Tallarn twice and he introduced me to Rocky horror, and originally Hivemind as well IIRC (Blast you! About 400 posts in Meta! :))

I have met Liquide at Russ's house.

I have met various people at Gencon.

I met Maldur at gencon, but last year I visited him. there were other Enworlders there, amongst them the It's Man, but personally I only knew Astrogoth back then.

I know all the players in my PBP: they are my bet friends. Salluf has been around as a lurker for three years now I guess.

I've met lots of people from Gencon (the last few years)

Leopold (who is also my PCGen boss)
Storminator (a player in a bunch of my games)
Pseudonym (who was a player in one of my games, and will be in the future, he just doesn't know it yet).

All in all, I have met some really cool people here and for some reason they all play D&D :)
