Tired of d20 yet?

I can play other games (Savage Worlds, Deadlands (classic), 7th Sea (classic)) but I will never, ever, ever, get tired of playing D&D, either in its d20 form or a basic/expert form or a 1st ed form or even a 2nd ed form.

Occasionally I got tired when *running* a d20 game for high level characters, but that wasn't tired as in "sick of" but tired as in "man I am tired, that was a lot of work". So that pushes me towards C&C when running a game.

But how can I get tired of d20 when Iron Lore is about to come out? I want that so bad, I will run it if I have to, but I reaaaaaaally wanna play it. :)

I've tried switching, but my group won't budge. And it's REALLY hard to find players around here.

J R, your group won't even try an occasional one-shot of something else?

That's unusual to me because every group I've ever been in has never been averse to trying different games every once in a while. Sorry to hear it.

Give me Shadowrun D20. Give me Lovercraftian D20. Give me Star Wars D20... ok, I haven't seen this last product yet but the point remains the same: One easy system that everyone is familair with makes a great platform upon which other settings may play.
Am I understanding this correctly? There certainly is a Star Wars d20. It's the Shadowrun d20 that we don't have yet (and won't likely get) although with a quick kitbash of d20 Modern, Urban Arcana and d20 Future elements, you can get 95% there, I think. Just insert the Shadowrun setting and you're good to go.

I can't remember if I even posted to this thread since I asked what I thought was a fairly innocuous question. :\ Heckuva response. Heckuva.

I thank the 85 percent or so (rough estimation) of the posters here who answered my query without spontaneously bursting into flame.
Then again, those other messages are amusing in their own way, too. :p

Dude, go any internet forum and ask "Are we tired of __________ yet?"

This is the primier d20 site, you post an ennui thread, and you're surprised you got flames? Come on.

Actually, sweetums, I never said I was surprised. Amused, yes. Surprised? No.

Now be nice and put back some umbrage to share with the other kiddies.

Wow.

Any chance this will get published, or is it just for home use?

And can I see a copy? :D
Since it'll be based on Wotc D20 stuff and nothing they publish is actualy OGC I'd guess no chance - just home use. And I may never actually get round to running it as I mentioned.

I suppose anyone can see a copy after I get it to where I want it but I work on things in fits and starts so...
