Titanic matchups...

Stone Angel

First Post
I was thinking that it would be cool to see what character(s) you would like to see in a "CLASH OF THE SILVER SCREEN TITANS" Here are a few of mine.

Doc Holiday(Kilmer)..vs..Billy the Kid(Estevez)
The Winner: Holiday. In a close shootout you have to account for style.

Bruce Lee' character in The Game of Death..vs..Jet Li's character in Kiss of the Dragon.
The Winner: A fantastic scene this would be, so fast the camera's can't even follow some of the action. Gotta give it to Bruce.

The Highlander...vs...Blade
The Winner: This one actually is several battles long, trying to figure out the others weakness'. I call it a draw.

Maximus..vs..Conan
The Winner: A tough call for me to make on my own for now: UNDECIDED

Robert Roy McGreggor..vs..William Wallace
The Winner: Wallace, McGreggor just can't match Wallaces passion and ferocity.

Dobby..vs..Golem
The Winner: The war is won in the will, and if Dobby is standing in the way of the precious. But Dobby does have a tolerance for pain. The match still goes to Golem.

The Main Event: Titanic Three Way Tag Team
Conner and Murphy McManus(Boondock Saints)...vs..
Julius Winfield and Vincent Vega(Pulp Fiction)...vs...
Richie and Seth Gecko(Dusk till Dawn)
The Winner: Bullets, prayers and curse words go a flying in this battle, plus a ton of witty dialouge. If I had to choose I would give it to the Saints "Evil man...Dead evil man", But Seth is kind of the ultimate survivor, and Julius' wallet says it all. Maybe I will change this to a draw.

Now lets hear some of yours

Hehe, mathcups. :p

Well, allow me to retort. Vincent and Jules would own. They're just too cool.

Dobby would just magick Gollum away, no contest. Gollum is quick and evil, but if Dobby can defend against Lucius, he has to be pretty powerful as well.

I can't think of any matchups of my own though. I'm no good at that sort of thing. :(

Oh wait! John Crichton versus James T. Kirk. Or for more amusement, John, Aeryn, D'Argo, and Chiana versus Kirk, Picard, Sisko, and Janeway.

Kirk: Heya ladies...
Janeway: We have no time for...
Trek Captains: Shut up!
John: Can't we all just get along?
Kirk: Well, I guess I can settle for white skin over green.
Chiana: Frell you! *kicks to groin*
Men: *wince*
Aeryn: Heh.
D'argo: Enough of this, should I shoot the woman?
Picard: Make it so.
*blam*
Sisko: Good enough for me.

I could probably take Janeway but I dunno about the rest...

Oop! Wrong JC. ;)

But seriously, now. If we are talking just films and not TV I can come up with a few.

Tyler Durden (Fight Club) vs. Bill Foster (Falling Down) - Do I even need to say why this would be cool?

A seduce-off between Kirk, Austin Powers and Bond (Connery) - Er, on second thought...

ET vs. the Ewoks - You've never seen ET quite like this before...

The Strangers of Dark City vs. The Machines from the Matrix - Just for the trippy factor.

The Pirates of the Caribbean vs. The Deadites - A little skeleton on skeleton action anyone?

This could go on all day...

Mojo Jojo vs. Lex Luther: Both evil geniuses who like ray guns, haven arch-enemies who can fly and have shiny heads. Winner: Mojo - Always bet on the monkey.

Conan the Barbarian/Kull:
Conan the Barbarian (not the Destroyer(Ahnold)) vs. Kull (Kevin Sorbo).
Conan beats anyone in sword and sorcery battles.
Empire Strikes Back Yoda/Attack of the Clones Dooku:
We never did see Yoda fight in eps. 4-6, so, Yoda from these eps. vs. Count Dooku from ep 2.
First fight was close, but before the sabre duel Yoda and Dooku used a lot of their powers trying to beat the other. Older Yoda is more about the mind than the body and would've countered anything Dooku threw at him and beat him before they could break out the lightsabres.
Aliens/Starship Troopers:
Colonial Marines vs. the mobile infantry roughnecks.
Colonial Marines can fight bugs better, but how do they stack up against like hardware. Doesn't matter since the fight would rock.
Pitch Black/Fifth Element:
Riddick vs. Korben Dallas.
Korben doesn't try to be a bada@*, just is. Riddick's getting there and may be able to take him after The Chronicles of Riddick. Korben Dallas here.

Titanic Mathcups? Why in heaven's name do you need to wear a cup for doing math? What kind of math are you doing, man? And as for it being titanic...

Hm. Dobby vs Gollum I could understand. But putting the house elf up against a berzerk clay statue animated by a rabbi? Dobby has magic, but he's not educated in kaballah. The win goes to the construct!

Conan always wins the one-on-one against the big bad dude, or thing. it is when he fights a few minor guys early in the story that someone clobbers him in the back of the head and knocks him out. He's had a lot of concussions...

isint Kull his son?

No, his son's name is Kon. I did have to look that up because it was on the tip of my brain. My dad is a huge Conan fan, so I have to know this. ;) Also, we almost named our old Rottie Kon... his dad's name was Conan
(that was kind of an omen;) ).
