I thought I was done, but I found one more. This is St Charles Extra Dark (again, with letters separated in places and then reassembled).
Yeah, nothing will be exact. I think the V in St Charles is the biggest issue in terms of 'close'. Chopping off that long tail in vector would be pretty easy though. When I'm trying to reproduce a font the way you are I usually aim for as close as I can get and don't sweat the details too much. The hunt can be fun though, so good luck.Unzaliash is very similar to Mael, which I mentioned above. The St Charles family is pretty good, but the D and V aren't right.
I could kinda sorta do it by changing fonts back and forth mid word. But I'm not necessarily trying to make exactly the same type of text, just one that's similar.
I like that Mael version a lot, except for the I and s characters. The V is so-so. Best of the three though, IMO. Well, closest anyway. I actually like St Charles the best other than the V but it's not as close. You know, now that I look at it, I think you probably could get away with using the D from Mael with the other St Charles characters. With a titch of work maybe the V as well. IDK, any way you slice it you have some nice options to work with.Yeah, I did one too, with Mael, St Charles Dark (not extra dark) and UnZaliash. I didn't do anything to mess with the kerning, or otherwise manually manipulate the letter positioning, but it's interesting to see the contrast between them.

I should have done an all caps version too, actually. Although in that font's case, I don't know that it would have been different. I agree that the I isn't super great. But subbing it for a 1 might have done the trick. But again, I'm not trying to get exactly the font that the 3.5 titles use, just something similar. I'll keep messing around with these fonts to see how they look.I like that Mael version a lot, except for the I and s characters.
That does look good. You just swapped fonts for the D and V, then?Huh. The straight portmanteaux actually works pretty well with minimal resizing.

I tilted the L's a bit to straighten them up a bit and dropped the font size of the V and the D. That's about it.
And the R, to make it a bit less swoopy. That does look good. You just swapped fonts for the D and V, then?
