Does Cowboy Bebop have mecha?

None that I recall.

I don't know what face faults are, but I can tell you it certainly doesn't have any Pokemon.

But don't trust me, read this: Cowboy Bebop. If you like Sci-Fi, blues and jazz music, westerns, Firefly, you'll probably enjoy this show.

I will say there is one traditionally anime character named Ed, who is a kid tech genius but also a complete nutcase. Somewhat of an excuse to use some of the standard anime tropes, but that's really the only one. I dislike most anime and was turned on to Cowboy Bebop right away.

Face faults are annoying symbols usually seen on most anime arts.

It can be a cross on the forehead to signify annoyance.

Big teardrop to signifying tiredness or embarrassment.

There is one element of the series that might bug you if you can't stand that visual style which is Ed. But overall Cowboy Beebop is a drama.. not a comedy and it doesn't really ever approach Teen Titans or other Anime in the sight gag arena. It does have the occasional face fault though - but when I say occasional I mean like once in a great while and only for one second - and most of it is Ed's character. Definitely nothing to avoid the show for.

The closest it has to mecha are the ships that Spike, Faye and other characters fly. Faye's especially since it has 'gripper' arms. As for walking or transforming ones, nope.

Face faults are very few if at all. However Spike does have some strange habits like his peculiar bowlegged walk (kinda like Rupan III) or stuffing a hotdog in his mouth sideways. Nowhere near as bad as say One Piece but very similar to Samurai Champloo (unsurprising given their 'family tree') or Ghost in the Shell (minus the mecha).

As for the voice actresses, Kari Wuhlgreen was Fuu on Samurai Champloo tho Wendee Lee was in it as well. Kari is also the voice of Nova (the yellow monkey) on Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! if you've got Toon Disney / Jetix. Wendee Lee is Faye Valentine (Cowboy Bebop), Angel (Big O), Kagero (Ninja Scroll movie), Twilight Suzuka (Outlaw Star) and Kiva (Megas XLR) among others. She's probably the most used voice actress ever, even more than Tara Strong.

Well, I was looking at her IMDB profile. Don't get me wrong, I really, really liked Aribeth. I'm always impressed by a good set of voice-acting credentials. Sometimes, the strange thing is looking up a given actor from a live action show and seeing what voices they've done. Like Gary Chalk, from the Canadian series Cold Squad. Looking at his list, he's been Optimus Prime, Man-At-Arms, Dr. Robotnik and others.

Anyway, is this movie an actual continuation of the first three movies, or does it just sport the IV for the hell of it?

Kaodi,

It's more of a continuation of the first two movies, as they ignored the events in the third one. (thank god.)

Agreed. It was tolerable, but not ever worth watching again. Well, maybe once every five or ten years. :uhoh:
