To be or not to be

If you can get your hands on a copy of Sword and Sorcery Studios' Secrets and Societies, a book for the Scarred Lands setting, there's a cool organization in it called "The Accursed," complete with a new feat called Master Lycanthropy, that might be just what you're looking for...

Well thank you all for your suggestions ideas and such, and even though I am a min-maxer by trade, I am at least a cooperative one. I can (and could) see that being a wolfie (or other) caused friction, both with the DM and the others that I was gaming with, and group unity is one of my major considerations.

The weretiger idea has merit though, and I will probably work in grim's idea about questing for the ingredients for power, but instead of a potion or herb, hopefully it will be for the knowledge of the weretiger...I will swing this past my DM and see what he thinks...

Weretiger PC nightmares starting....
Oh the horrors of PC with pounce, oh the horrors!
At least you are not a monk and this is definitely after they clarified how iterative and natural attacks don't stack.
Headache getting worse.
Must lie down now ...

Ok, so your GM knows you're a min-maxer, makes your character a Lycanthrope, then gets upset when you, fully within the rules, take advantage of the situation?

His fault, his problem, his stupidity. I don't see that you have anything to be sorry for. Having said that, as you say, you do need to work with him and keep everyone happy.

The Wolf still lurks inside, coming out to play in your dreams...

Think of it as a form of "disease" similar to Alcoholism. You are never truly cured. That craving, that hunger still lurks in your heart, no matter how you may try to fight it. A staunchly Good character may be horrified and fight hard against it, but a true Neutral character doesn't necessarily have the moral fortitude to overcome that kind of desire.

This had me in tears...thanks kugar

Ah, but to be one with the wolves means worshiping nature. Start taking levels of a druid until you qualify for the PRC Shifter from Masters of the Wild. Allows you to keep your alignment. Better control and still fit the character. :)
