One of the things that really galled me about the Star Wars re-relrease is that while original special effects hold up mindblowingly well in almost every scene. There are one or two moments in the attack on the death star where it's painfully obvious that it's a model and they didn't bother to fix them.

There are a lot of very valid changes in there. Makes me hate the unesecary ones even more.

Seems they also toned down alot of the blaster hits from the 77 version. Got rid of the flames.

The only one that bugged me was Greedo shooting first. That completely changed things.

I wish they'd put the stuff in that they filmed, but didn't put in either version. Much, if not all, of the power station stuff with Wedge (or was it Biggs?) back on Tatooine was filmed, but we never got to see it.
