[ToEE] Game freezing problem...

Hi all,

Just wondering if something similar has happened to anyone else, and, if so, did you find some way out of the problem?

I'm playing in Ironman mode, and in the middle of a battle I got called away, so I did a "save and quit," figuring I'd just start up mid-fight later on and finish it off. (I'm on Level Two of the Temple dungeon, if that makes any difference. The fight is with the big bunch of human Temple Guards just west of the Great Hall.) However, once I restart, the game just sits there, with the action-bar empty and one of the guards highlighted in the initiative sequence. I can't for the life of me get the game to advance to the next person in initiative.

Please don't tell me I'm gonna have to restart from (character) level 1st. 'Cause if that's the case, I'm gonna be real mad and throw this game in the trash...

Haven't had a problem with game freezes/crashes myself.

You might try the Tech support section of the ToEE boards at the Atari Boards to get specifric help.

If you saved in the middle of a fight, and when you load the save find that the battle is "hung", you might be SOL. Do you have a previous save you can revert to? Try loading the "autosave". You might not loose much progress.

There isn't too much you can do if the battle is frozen as soon as you load the game.
