Pathfinder 1E Tome of Horrors: Pathfinder Edition

Voting would be kind of fun! Especially since Paizo has already updated some beasties from ToH (in the Bonus Bestiary and Bestiary).

Personally, I'd vote to include the rest of the older edition conversions.

Voting would be cool. Hell- we let the guys on the Necromancer boards come up with the title of the book actually. We were looking for something that paid homage to older editions, and one of the Necro regulars threw out "Tome of Horrors" (obviously play on "Tomb of Horrors") and it stuck :)

Errr... Unless they did a whole other print job later, my ToH is 3.0. There was an update done in pdf to 3.5 but I don't know if that ever actually saw print.
Huh. I thought it was 3.5.

Just sayin' that if stuff is 3.5, there's not a need to rush and reprint it under PF. And personally, I'd prefer a company like Necromancer to put out something new, rather than a rehash.

Nope there never was a print 3.5 that was a pdf. It has been out of print since 3.0

Why? ToH is 3.5, which is compatible with Pathfinder.
Too true.
I also like to voting idea if we ever did something on a much grander scale.
The long and short of things, though, is that we've got a HUGE amount of love and respect for the tradition of the D&D, and just as you've already seen a ton of early edition, ToH monsters showing up in Pathfinder, you'll keep right on seeing them in the core Pathfinder rulebooks. For example, expect the Froghemoth and Mites and Marids in the Pathfinder Bestiary. You'll probably see a bunch more favorites showing up in later Bestiaries, too. But as the basic ToH stats work with PF RPG, we don't have immediate plans to update the entire ToH outright. Fans of the ToH should expect a lot of familiar faces in the months to come, though.

Funny thing is, every time I read "Tomb of Horrors" now, I think it says "Tome of Horrors" and I get very confused.... :o

Nope. I want Tome of Horror: Pathfinder Edition to be the original ToH. i.e. the out of print, excluded original AD&D material translated to Pathfinder RPG.

The rest, ToH 2 and 3, may come later.

Yes. That was pretty cool of you guys. :)

I noticed on Paizo's website that Necromancer Games is definitely going to be supporting Pathfinder with a new version of Tome of Horrors.

My question is, what do you want in such a book? Do you want a 'best of the best version' with content from ToH, ToH II, and ToH II? Or would you prefer new content mixed with older v.3.5 content?

Personally, I think it wouldbe great if Necromancer Games would let the fans vote for the monsters that go into Tome of Horrors: Pathfinder Edition.

Clark and I are having a nice little chat about all of this actually :)

Grab his nose and don't let go until he promises the Forlarren will be in it!

(it was my surprise favorite when I bought the first ToH a little while back. It hits a perfect balance between woobie and scary for me, like the Witch from Left4Dead.)
