Tonight's Chat

James and all the FD guys-

We are really going to miss you. We wish you the best of luck! In particular, I am going to miss you guys since I really pushed to have you join up.

Of course we expect you to keep putting out kick ass modules and products :) And you always have a friend in Necromancer Games.

Clark and Necromancer Games-

Have you considered leaving the Sword & Sorcery nest too?

Hey Daniel,

I don't want to put words in Clark's mouth, but let me give my perspective from this side...

There's not really any reason for Necromancer (or Malhavoc, for that matter) to even consider leaving S&S. Clark and Bill are doing EXACTLY what they want to be doing, in EXACTLY the best possible way. Sword & Sorcery is a great place to hang your hat, and offers the perfect vehicle for Necromancer products (and Malhavoc print material).

The reasons that FDP left (which are touched on in this post on the NG message boards) are related to FDP rather than anything to do with Sword & Sorcery.

I think, the bottom line is that Clark and Bill enjoy writing and developing material for Necromancer and releasing it through Sword & Sorcery, whereas we at FDP enjoy the other aspects of being a d20 publisher just as much - dealing with printers, marketing, sales, finding distribution, and the other business aspects.

At least, that's my take on things.

There are no reasons for Necro to leave SSS. I really cant imagine that happening. Frankly this announcement caught me by surprise. I didnt know about this until last night. This was entirely an FD decision. Its going to be tough out there for FD and I wish them the best :) James and Co. know they always have a friend in Necromancer Games.

I really wouldn't have a clue how to conduct an art chat.

"Uhh... so you draw pictures?"

"Yes."

"So do you use paints, then?"

"Yes."

"Ah. What pictures do you like?"

etc.

You'd really need an artists to conduct an art chat. :)
