one of the gamers in my group wrote a dice-rolling utility for us as we play online....i was wondering, for those of you who play online, what your favorite utilities are, and where you got them.

anyone wanna build a reputation by sharing their work?

Definitely check out OpenRPG. This utility contains a fairly powerful chat utility, file sharing, dice rollers, virtual character sheet utility (which connects directly with the dice utility) and a variety of other things, especially an interactive mapspace.

If you are looking for the tabletop gaming experience, with the flexibility that online play offers, this is definitely one to consider.

went there, spent forever downloading things, and then couldn't make it work with the group.....each of us could open a rom, but none could share, any advice?

it looks cool, die-rolllers, zoomable map, but the danged thing just wouldn't work

My favourite utility is a little "jump calculator" which I wrote for PalmOS devices. You can enter the distance that needs to be jumped and calculate the DC or enter the final skill roll and calculate the distance covered; any kind of jumps and speeds of 20ft to 60ft.

If it hasn't found its way onto the enworld electronic utilities page yet, you can grab it from my web page (see .sig)

Cheers
