Top 10 Scariest film moments

IIRC, Samara could control electronic signals.
That's how she placed the images on the videotape (without having it register on the "timetrack"), and presumably how she makes her connection with the victim before she 'completes their cycle'.
:D

God, just writing about it gives me the creeps.
The Ring is by far the spookiest movie I think I've ever seen. And I'm not one for being spooked by movies.
She STAYS WITH YOU...

The funny thing is I've never been really scared by a film, except when I was like 3yrs old, and I saw one of the Muppet movies, and Animal grew giant and burst through a barn roof.

My folks said I BOLTED like a bat outta Hell. :D

Nothing else has ever freaked me, movie-wise.

Books are a different topic :)

edit: nothing, being stoopid

Different definitions of scary?

I agree about the Ring about the "well" but I didn't find the very end too particular scary. It seemed tacked on. I've never seen the Japanese version.

Blair Witch Project, I have to say all in all I wasn't too thrilled.
The part where they found the severed hand was mildly disturbing (looked more like a chicken bone to me.) The end was interesting, how he was hanging on the wall (the only part worth watching).
As sad as it is, I enjoyed Blair Witch II more, mostly because of the ideas, rather than the presentation.

I'm kinda odd, I get more freaked out by suspense rather than horror, such as Arlington Road. Made my mind spin.

I'm going with a scene from a 70's vintage 'bigfoot' movie here -- "The Legend of Boggy Creek". Kind of a faux documentary about the Fouke monster down in Arkansas. Anyway, in the scene,
the creature is terrorizing a houseful of young people, you can hear the footsteps on the porch outside, then they stop. Hairy arm through the window.

What I notice about how much certain movies have creeped me out is how old I was at the time and the circumstances thereof. For instance, I was way too young to be watching "Boggy Creek" by myself at one in the morning. It might not be the same if I watched it now at noon. Then again, maybe it would.

BeWare the Terrible Typesetting Terror!

I think I remember the moment you speak of, but it was more like... impacting from a story standpoint than scary, I thought. :(

But if typesetting scares you, I'd hate to see the monster in your nightmares... ;)
