Top Ten Favorite Sci-Fi or Fantasy TV Series?

What about Wizards and Warriors?

Anyone remember that show? I loved it as a 9 year old kid when I was playing D&D every day. I have no idea if it was any good or not.

It had the girl from Newhart on it, Julia Duffy. Here are a few links:

As far as stuff that I can remember, any discussion of truly great shows has to include:

Star Trek
Star Trek: The Next Generation
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Battlestar Galactica (the new series)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Thundarr
Harsh Realm -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0182587/

You might also want to include Earth 2 to your list: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109701/

A few more humorous additions to the list should include:

Automan -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0343386/
Manimal -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085898/
Misfits of Science -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088568/
The Powers of Matthew Star -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083467/

None of those would fit into any serious discussion of great sci fi/fantasy shows, but I loved them when I was a kid.

There was one show on the Sci-fi channel that I can't remember the name of that was pretty good - Set in the future, there were very humanlike androids. The story revolved around two police officers, one human, the other an android and some sort of revolt by the androids - oh well, since I can't remember more it must not have been that good.

Granted there were more of these when I was much tounger and seeing some of them now, I can only say, well I was much younger when I liked them :)

Am I the only one who thinks Farscape should be on this list? Well, I do...=)
Change should to must and I'm in ;).

My Top 10 - Sorta Ordered

1. Firefly
1a. Farscape
1b. Buffy
1c. Angel
1d. Babylon 5
6. Star Trek: Deep Space 9
7. Battlestar Galactica (new version)
8. Star Trek: The Next Generation
9. The X-Files
10. Smallville

And you can add The Flash (http://imdb.com/title/tt0099580/).

My personal top 10.

1. Battlestar Galactica (New, best thing on now)

2. Babylon 5 (Classic of TV Sci-FI)

3. Sliders (first season was excellent, but went downhill rapidly in the 2nd and got really bad in later seasons)

4. X-Files (early seasons only, before it was obvious that the producers had no big plan or idea what was happening)

5. SeaQuest DSV (first season especially, later seasons not so much)

6. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (Trek's finest hour)

7. Battlestar Galactica (Old, campy fun, not exactly fine art but fun. If people didn't like it they wouldn't have made a new one after 25 years)

8. Buffy (What else can I say?)

9. Angel (Not quite as good as Buffy, but still better than almost everything else out there)

10. Knight Rider (More old campy fun from when I was a kid, unlike most shows from when I was a kid, I still enjoy the reruns too. I love the fan theory that since KR was made by the same producer as BSG, KITT and KARR were built out of crashed cylons from Galactica 1980, since they are have both impossibly advanced technology and have the little red eye thing, and the human-hating KARR was built first as the prototype).

Babylon 5
X-Files
Battlestar Galactica (new version)
Firefly
Doctor Who
The Outer Limits (Original Series)
UFO
The Prisoner
Star Trek (TOS)
Kolchak: The Night Stalker
