D&D 5E Totem Ranger and Hunter Barbarian

Heretic of The Seventh Circle
Totem Warrior Conclave

You add twice your proficiency bonus to Passive Perception against traps, natural hazards, and any Favored Enemy trying to hide from you.

You gain the ability to enter a Rage. You gain none of the normal benefits of the Rage feature, but your choice of Totem does grant you abilities when you are in a Rage, in addition to the following benefits. You must use 1 level 1 spell slot to use this ability.

While Raging, you gain the following benefits:

*Your base speed increases by 10ft.

*You ignore 1 level of exhaustion until your rage ends.

<From there, literally just gain the Totem Warrior features from the Barbarian. I think they will all work fine on this basis. And than just those features is balanced by needing to spend a spell slot and getting less out of raging. Where Totem Warrior grants a couple spells as rituals, the Ranger also gets to use them as rituals. Seems fine. >

Barbarian Path of The Hunter

Here I'm less sure. I don't really feel like the actual Hunter subclass from ranger is all that interesting. So, maybe instead, this subclass gives the Barbarian some of the Ranger's core features and some ranger spells as rituals?

The Totem Warrior already hits it close.

Perhaps give the Barbarian Natural Explorer, Primeval Awareness, and some ranger utility spells as rituals?

Or could the Barbarian get the Beast Master Conclave, mostly as is?

ALso, anyone interested in adding some Druid/Shaman style bits to both classes?

What if a Barbarian could spend a Rage to turn into their Totem Animal? I wonder if there is something in the TOtem subclass that could be optionally swapped with this...I mean, I'm not sure it's a power upgrade, so much as just a different but balanced option.

I love the idea of a Ranger/Barbarian that can run into battle with their animal companion, as an animal!

Anyway. Let me know if anyone is interested in this, and I'll expand on it here. If not, I know my group will like it. :D

I'd like to build MC subclasses for many concepts. I think it's a great way the game can expand without as much worry over power creep. It's basically an alternate way to handle multiclassing.
