Touch of class at the Ennies

That was my bad. When I do a podcast, I'm staring at a sound wave that has a timer above it. You put me behind a mic without a visible clock, and I lose all sense of time. ;)

Anyway, I really do want to thank everyone here for the compliments. I also want to thank the ENnie folks for the opportunity to present that award. I was very grateful for the chance to address the RPG industry on behalf of the growing podcast community. It was also a very pleasant end to an ugly series of events neither side wanted in the first place.

So consider this a raised glass to all parties involved!

Changing subjects slightly, that was a really beautiful location. It's the only thing I took pictures of all weekend long. It's just begging for a Shakespearean play.

They're doing Hamlet downstairs in a month ;)

It was a GREAT show this year. I hope future ENnies are half as well done. It put last year's show to total shame. Thank you to all the hard working folks that put it on. We had a wonderful time.

Agreed. but on top of all that, your speech was equal parts informative and entertaining. i mean, yes, you really rolled with it...but you came across as enthusiastic and well-informed.

I have a lot of time for Enhthusiastic and Well-Informed speakers.

Well I'll drink to that:)

Thanks for that drink- it was the only one I had all night, and MAN was it ever delish! So- you got the kiltlifter t, right? I'd love to see a pic!

I wanted to give out a public thank you to Denise for her efforts on my behalf.
Privateer Press was a late comer to the Dream Date Auction and were not very prepared.

Denise made a point of standing up for me at the Privateer Booth that (as always) was very busy with all of the demo games and lines at the cash registers.

I did manage to buy her a drink just as the bar closed, but I wanted to thank her for making my GenCon just that much more special. I had a great time, and the event was very impressive.

Thanks again Denise, I appreciate it.

I thought it was a very nice speech, personally, and a good move to have you there. Although "podcasts are going to change the world" and "market indicators" have already become a bit of an in-joke to the folks at our table. No offense. ;)

I think Scott Rouse's speech was very classy as well. Made me more excited about the future of WotC than I have been for some time.
