Touch spells and six friends

So, it says that as a full round action, you can touch up to six people for a touch spell. My question is, when is this useful? I assume that it isn't implying that you can use one casting of... invisibility, and apply it to six people. But, you also can't cast invisibility between each touch of someone. So... what's the point?

Mostly harmless and beneficial spells like Water Breathing benefit from this rule.

Certain spells have target entries like, "One or more creatures touched."
