Touching Spells

Eltern

First Post
Looking to make a spellsword NPC, and decided that spells designed as touch attacks which consequently have no save are very, very good for this. While shocking grasp is AWESOME, can anyone throw out suggestions of higher level spells? Needs to be a touch attack, ranged or no, and preferably doesn't have a save, or if it does it's not a -big- deal if they don't make it, like 'partial'. Don't care what your source is if it's 3rd party, but give me a reference to where I could find it, if you could.

Thanks!

Three of my favorites (two ranged touch and all allowing no save):

Enervation - Especially good against spellcasting enemies, since they lose one of their highest level spells for every negative level.

Ray of Enfeeblement - No save in 3.5. Causes a Str penalty of 1d6+1 per two caster levels.

Vampiric Touch - A little boost for you while weakening the enemy at the same time. What's not to like?

Ray of Enfeeblement is great (one of my favorite). Another great one is Touch of Idiocy- 2nd level, Touch, no save, Spell Resistance yes- target loses 1d6 Intelligence, Wisdom, AND Charisma. A friend of mine made an Eldritch Knight with a Spell Storing Two-Bladed sword- one end would always have Ray of Enfeeblement, and the other would always have Touch of Idiocy.

Another good spell that DOES have a save is Feeblemind- 5th level spell, reduces the target's Intelligence and Charisma to 1. It DOES have a Will Save, but if the target is an Arcane Spellcaster, they take a -4 on the save. (So the Fighter is gonna have roughly the same chance of failing it as the Wizard.)

Just checking: The Spellsword's channeling ability is a move equivalent action (assuming it provokes an AoO). So, feasibly, at the beginning of a round I can channel an empowered shocking grasp (a full-round action as a sorc) into my sword, provoke an AoO, and then attack with it. whoa holy crap, right? Or am I missing something? That a full round-action and another standard action.

I would think channeling the spell would remain a move action even if casting it would have taken a full-round action, since there's nothing in the ability's description to tie it to the spell's original casting time. So you would be able to channel and attack in the same round. And yes, as a Sp ability it does provoke an AoO.

If you're a metamagicing sorc, that's awesome.

But really, which is stronger, between a wizard/spellsword and a sorc/spellsword.

Under this setup you don't need to know a lot of different spells, as there are only so many of the touch attack variety...
