Tracer Spell

I'm looking to create a feat that enables the spellcaster to gain a +4 plus the level of the previously cast spell to hit with a ranged touch attack spell, provided they hit with a ranged touch attack spell as a free action (Via Quickened Spell) just before the standard action.

I had the idea while reading the Gun Mage from the Iron Kingdoms campaign.

Any comments?

Wow, I can't see much use out of that. How often to you want to use two ranged touch attacks in the same round?

I'd be tempted just to make a seperate Tracer Spell spell. It would do less damaga than normal for its level as well as give a to-hit bonus to other range touch attacks that same round.

The gun mage (at high levels) can cast touch spells as ranged touch spells. Thought the boost might warrent a means to improve the hit percentage. How would you work the spell?
