Trailblazer from Badaxe Games?

I just wanted to chime in and state that Trailblazer is an awesome supplement. Thanks to the authors for the in-depth analysis of the math under the hood.

I'm stil reading through it, but there are numerous items I'll be using for my OGL games, and since I mix-and-match from various 3.x & OGL sources, the class breakdowns have given me the guidepost I've always wanted for comparing classes from other sources and determining how they balance against one another.

Great book!

Dumb question maybe.

Is the name (trailblazer) a play off of the word Pathfinder?

I always presumed so. As I'm reading through the book, though, I'm struck by the fact that it really provides a toolkit for game customization. Yeah, it's probably riffing the Pathfinder name, but it also let's a GM take control of his/her game and blaze his own trail. Whereas Grim Tales (another favorite of mine) provides an OGL game with plenty of optional rules and fiddly bits, Trailblazer provides options for tweaking your game as well as insight into the logic behind the options. THAT's what I call GM-friendly.

[For what it's worth, I was a big fan of Unearthed Arcana's sidebars as well.]
