Straight to video costs are allot cheaper. If sci-Fi can make sequels as part of its Saturday Night Lineup then the costs to do a sequel are cheep indeed.

The original was excellent and a huge cult favorite. I'm stunned it took this long.

The trailer for the sequel doesn't look too promising, though.

(Warning, spoilers for the original movie below... not protected because I figure 99% of the people reading this thread have seen the original.)

I liked the original (man, that rabbit gave me nightmares for weeks... I didn't want to go to the bathroom at night because each time I did I thought of the main character talking to the rabbit in his bathroom and freaked myself out), but didn't the world end in the end of the last one? How do you make an encore to that?

I haven't watched the trailer, by the way. Some movies I feel are best just left as they are, as one completed entity, and this is one of them.

[sblock] No, the world was going to end if he lived, so he went back in time and made sure he died when he was supposed to. I think that's how it was, it has certainly been a while since I saw it.[/sblock]
