In fairness, the first movie had a classical score BUT still used a modern rock music for the trailer.

Yeah, but the difference was that they used instrumental pieces (or clips) to give it a heavy metal operatic feel rather then using a the only Marlyn Manson song that is licensed for movie trailers because it doesn't need to be edited or wouldn't offend people even though some of his more controversial songs would better fit the premise of the movie series.

In the end, the choice just seems uninspiring and amateurish and makes the trailer look like something anyone could do with an MP3 and a video editing program.

So the script was so bad Alexa Davalos turned it down and they're ret-conning Andromeda back in to the story after they essentially pushed her out of her mythological place in the last one. Yeah, that makes me want to see it. And they couldn't buy Rosamund Pike a bottle of Miss Clairol? I'm okay with changing actresses but at least give her a dye job.

The first movie was crap and this one looks worse.
