giving a slight bow of the head the druid answers, "my name is fearalan, and this is my friend kordo." he points at the wolf.

Gimble Niffledorn

"I introduced myself to our patron, but allow me to formally introduce myself to you. Gimble Niffledorn, Graduate of the prestigious Drystone College of Engineering at Korranburg, Artificer and Professional Trap Disarmer, at your service."

Guardian nods his head in recognition as each member gives his name. He does not press those who choose not to give their names for the information. At Gimble's mention of his construction, Guardian says, "I am not offended, many people do not think of the warforged as anything more than objects, or property. You, at least, do not appear to have any malicious intent with your comments. As far as my construction, it was decided that I might better fulfill my purpose of defense if adamantine were used as the base material for my composite plating." Guardian pauses for a moment, "While it is true that the metal keeps me safer from harm, my creators didn't seem ultimately pleased by the end result."

"Your creators need an adjustment to their judgement, my friend," he says.

After making the desired purchases, the party regroups at the guildhall. House Kundarak provides transportation outside Sharn to a manor house in the nearby Brellish countryside. The house is surrounded by a smooth 15' high wall with an iron railing jutting out along the top, it's businesslike spikes obviously intended to discourage climbers.

Your carriage brings you right up to the iron gate which provides entry to the manor. The gate is closed, and seems likely to be firmly locked.

The guildsman who drives the carriage tells you that this is where he's been instructed to drop you off.

"The boss said to remind you that if you get into too much trouble, you should break the stick. They'll have people scrying on you to study any flaws in the security arrangement."

Samarik looks totally absorbed as he studies the wall and the surroundings."I have a grappling hook and some rope in my pack, I wonder if we could use it to get over that wall? Unless, Gimble, you think you could just pick the lock on the gate." Worse comes to worse, smashing it open shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Gimble, not seeing any reason not to, searches the gate exhaustively. His conclusion is that it isn't trapped, but is magically rather than mechanically locked. He doesn't think he can open it.

With a shrug, Samarik connects his grappling hook to the 50' of rope he carries around. ("You never know when you'll need some good old-fashioned rope.")

With a practiced toss, Samarik attempts to catch the grappling hook on one of the outhanging spikes. "Who is the best climber among us? I would bet that there is some way to open the gate from the inside."

[sblock=ooc] my climb is +5, what other skills would be relelvant? Do you want us to roll for skill checks, i.e., spot on the walls and the like?[/sblock]
