Fritz hits the Iron Defender with a solid shot, dealing 8 damage. (I'll check to be sure there isn't some sort of exception, but as it's a construct I doubt the critical damage applies.)
Rethlin readies his shield. (Edit: You are allready in the courtyard, any additional action?)
The Iron Defenders charge, one heading for Guardian and the wounded one targetting Rethlin. Charge v. Guardian, Rethlin (corrected) (1d20+7=19, 1d6+3=4, 1d20+7=18, 1d6+3=5) Guardian knocks his attacker aside with his shield, but Rethlin is hit for 5 damage as his attacker recklessy charges past Guardian. (AOO unavailable as flat footed and no combat reflexes.)
ooc: I'm placing Rethlin, Guardian and Samarik inside the courtyard pre-initiatve, based on the posts from Penance and JR Young. Hope you're not offended by this, Icycool.

Samarik maneuvers into a good position to attack the Iron Defender, which would flank with Guardian if the Warforged were a bit readier, but misses the Iron Defender.

With a prayer and a gesture Rethlin's hand becomes swathed in a silvery flame. He touches the wound and it immediately stops bleeding. "By the sacred flame I mend thee" he says with reverance.
