OOC: I suppose he gets a flank bonus from Guardian, making it a 21 to hit.

Gimble's crossbow bolt caves in the side of the first Iron Defender, staggering it. It's still capable of delivering another bite, but seems on its last legs.

Guardian tries to grab the Iron Defender attacking Rethlin, but AOO from 2 to Guardian (1d20+5=24, 1d6+3=9) it bites him severely, dealing 7 damage even through his reinforced plating. The bite spoils his grab.

im sorry i rolled the next three attacks and damages....i am going to be working this weekend and late today (12hour shifts suck) so i might be out of it some more.

it will likely pick up for me in game as soon as this weekend is over

Fritz (npc'd) fires another bolt, misses (1d20+3=13, 1d8=3), and reloads.

Rethlin smashes an Iron Defender, rendering it nonfunctional.

With a parting shot (1d20+5=16, 1d6+3=8) the staggered Iron Defender attempts to take Guardian with along into the realm of incapacitated constructs, but Guardian easilly deflects the blow.

The courtyard is large and open, the front door is in full view, and numerous windows take in the sunlight. No other creatures seem to be in the courtyard.
