Traps and Wards (Erekose 13 Judging) [Concluding]

The view inside is partially blocked by curtains, but from what you can see the interior is sparsely furnished, and what furniture there is is currently covered by drop cloths. The door appears to be mundanely locked.

ooc: *sigh* sorry all, I've decided to log off of here for the last time. Pretty soon I'll be leaving on a mission for my church, the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. I'll be gone for 2 years, so I figure it's a good idea to start logging off. Hope you guys have fun. :)

Have fun in your travels! One of my partners was sent to Russia on his mission, and while I'm not a Mormon myself I think I understand the general concept. :)

I'll write Samarik out, so he'll be waiting for you when your holy duty is done.

ooc: *cough* Is it a bad sign when the only player post in over 24 hours is to announce that the player in question is leaving the game?

OOC: Oops, I made a quick run through most of my pbp's this morning, and missed this one. (It was actually the first one I stopped in, but jumped over to Head of the Class to post first).

Guardian nods at Rethlin and says, "I am damaged, and would welcome any repair. Unless there are more of those," he indicates the Iron Defenders with a wave of his hand, "I should be in a functional condition until our mission is accomplished. Hopefully, I will not run afoul of any traps." Guardian looks from the door to the windows. "Can someone open that door? If not, we may need to cause some property damage and enter through the window."

"Master Gimble, what do you think of this door and these windows? Can you get us in safely?" Rethlin inquires with a bow.

OOC: need a search check and perhaps an open lock I bet.

Gimble carefully searches the door and unlocks it.

This takes some time, and while he is doing so Samaik wanders around to scout the place out a bit more. Suddenly, in full view of the rest of the group, he vanishes. He seems to have triggered some sort of trap in the courtyard!

ooc: Reviewing my notes, I was supposed to have awarded xp for getting around the wall as if for a CR 3 encounter. I'll have to fix that at the next XP award. :)

Fritz is stunned to recognize the teleportation trap. Imagine the expense! He cannot tell whether Samarik was teleported somewhere inside, or to another location altogether.

ooc: Yeah, this is the DM removing the PC from the adventure now that the player is gone. :)
