d66 lists of names work just as well with CT as it does with Mongoose Traveller (and any other version of Traveller for that matter). And they are only 50 cents a piece.

Wow that brings back memories. I haven't thought of Traveller in years! Even though the games never lasted long it was always fun. Traveller was only the second role playing game I ever played. I feel like a kid again.

Ah -- cool. They do have the Sky Raiders Trilogy in the ENWorld store. Bundled with a bunch of other adventures for $17.50.

Game for free and awesomely entertaining complete campaign for under $20. Hard to beat that.

I only own the original small book version of Traveler but the typesetting of these PDFs is very familiar. I remember my first PC dying during chargen and my second PC mustering out at the age of 56. As 14 year old it was just too funny. Only ever played once as my circle of friends at the time just couldn't handle the future space theme (until Star Frontiers came out years later).

Can't wait to read through this a bit. If you know a graphics designer, be sure to show him Book 2. It's like a blueprint for the dark ages of graphic design.

In the mid 80s, this finally changed with the one Traveller adventure series which I thought was la creme de la creme: FASA's The Sky Raiders trilogy.

So if you picked up the Classic Traveller Books 1-3, do yourself a favor and set your sights on finding a copy of the Sky Raiders Trilogy. Throw a little Indiana Jones into your classic Traveller and you have instant awesomeness.

The books are not spectacular in the production values department (though pretty good given the standards of the era) - but the proof is in the playing. The full trilogy is Legend of the Sky Raiders, Trail of the Sky Raiders and Fate of the Sky Raiders - all written by the Keith brothers. Say "yes" to that campaign in a heartbeat.

Hands down the best classic Traveller campaign - ever.

Absolutely right.

I used the campaign setting for my own Starguild RPG (back in the day when it was a RQ2 clone) and it was just a fantastic campaign. Really evocative.
