Traveller D20 avaible in PDF anywhere?

You'll find the same applies in T20. I am a 20+ year Traveller fan who cut his teeth on Classic Traveller. CT was used as the standard by which T20 was developed.

All the more reason I want to get hold of it, so I can talk intelligently, rather than by guess work. Ahh well, maybe I will track it down one day (preferrably before the next version arrives!)

Ghostknight - Most of T20 is open content. I made pdf of quite a bit of the class info in it for my T20 PbP.

It's very barebones class info (class skills, BaB progressions, etc), though, as I was just typing in that was needed for the players to build their chracters up to where we could do Prior history together - might not be all that useful to you, as I was trying to keep most of the flavor out of it, so as to encourage my player to get the book :)

As a long-time Traveller fan, and current T20 player/ref, I'll attest to the fact that combat in d20 Traveller is just as lethal as it was in the original or any other version. In a convention game, my best friend's character was killed by a critical hit from a charging beast. I've also seen plenty of characters and NPCs die from a single shot -- critical or not -- from modern and high-tech weapons.

A healthy respect for large beasts and guns goes a long way in my games as well! Well, here is to someone in this country importing it (or me giving in to the dark side and actually paying those insane international shipping rates)

Try ebay -- you might get lucky with the price and the shipping.

Hmm, never tried eBay. I wonder if they will take a SA credit card. PayPal, iBill and CCBill all reject SA credit cards. Apparently for my protection when I sent a query as the fraud is too high from Africa.

I can accept them wanting to limit business risk, I have a problem with them telling me it is for my protection though!

DOn't know about the others, but PayPal is frustrating for a lot of people :)

Have you tried contacting Quiklink and seeing if the T20 is distributed in SA?

What is even more fustrating was that I had a paypal account, used it for years, but they would not validate my new card when the previous one expired.

I know all the importers here and as far as I know noneof them brought it in. Now just to really fustrate things here most of the distributors are refusing to sell directly into South Africa and insist they order via European distributors - driving the already high prices even further up! As if a bad exchange rate wasn't enough to cause us to cough and clutch at our chests ever time we see prices on new items!

Your right, i forgot they did change how hit points were done/handled. So the lethality is maintained. that is good. Now if only I could find a Traveller game to play in.

Well, if I ever get a copy of the rules, I hereby undertake to run a Traveller d20 game here on Enworld (I would run Megatraveller but can you imagine the charater creation nightmare on a board?)
