So, I'm way out of touch. I work at a game and comic book store, but most of my attention is focused on comics because of various realities at my store. I came into my store to work today and what do I see? Traveller.
Not Traveller T20, not Traveller 4e, Traveller. Apparently, Mongoose is giving Traveller the same treatment they gave to Paranoia. When I saw it, I gasped, picked it up, and started to pet it. I couldn't believe it. I remember hearing rumors about this, but I had forgotten. It's a kind of defense mechanism against vaporware.
I don't have the money to buy it right now, but did get a chance to look through it.
That's all I can think of.
It must be mine.

- The rules seem faithful the classic game.
- Hexadecimal is there. It is possible to reduce NPCs to a small hexadecimal string.
- Rules for aliens
- Rules for dying during character creation. (Optional)
- d6 based system.
- World Generation rules.
- This book is small and is almost entirely rules. None of this "this is what a roleplaying game is." There is 0 history or background on the game. There is little commentary. It is almost the exact opposite of the Paranoia book in writing style.
