Purchase the cow would be "achete la vache".

Get the cow is actually "chercher la vache".

What does twelve years in a french school get me? Better job? Nope. Impresses the ladies? Nope (at least not anymore). Correct french phrases on a D20 message board? Hell Yeah!

what does 1 year of french in middle school make (french never get or take anything they make it) me.... years and years later...

Cherchez la vache would be find the cow. The line from Holy Grail is "Fetchez la vache." Which is of course, not really french at all. Which is the joke. They're not really french.

I brought the funny.

Nope. It's imperative so it's either "cherche la vache" in 'tu' form or "cherchez la vache" with "ez" in 'vous' form. :o
