The first episode description from the TV Guide:

Debut: Michael Gross returns as gonzo survivalist Burt Gummer in the rowdy premiere of this series inspired by the offbeat horror films.
Burt lives in the tiny Nevada burg of Perfection Valley, where residents coexist with a “graboid,” or giant worm, dubbed El Blanco. Prohibited from killing the endangered creature, the locals rely on their wits to stay alive, while using El Blanco to keep developers away. “So the thing that protects your lifestyle also wants to eat you?” quips newcomer Tyler Reed (Victor Browne). While helping Tyler adjust to town life, Burt is sidetracked when El Blanco embarks on an unpredictable killing spree.

Second episode from the TV Guide:

Burt suspects the government is behind an alleged poltergeist that is preying upon visitors of Perfection and enlists an old crony (Christopher Lloyd) to find the truth.

Can we keep this to a Tremors topic, I understand the feelings for Farscape but that has it's own threads.
Sorry, man. I really didn't mean to tread. I just know that I will not be watching anything on SciFi. So I'll have to rely on others opinions of things they air. ;)

A week ago I was going to give it a shot but the more I see the more it scares me, shouldn't they at least try to make it look appealing in the ads for it? I've got no problem with tongue in cheek horror, but this looks more like madcap zany misadventurers of a minor character from the first movie. I've got Comedy Central for madcap zany antics, I was sort of looking for some science fiction on the Sci Fi channel. I will give the first episode a shot but I don't have a lot of hope for it.

Sorry.

I just don't see how Tremors will be able to make it, how many shows can you have before it becomes re-hashed. Someone wants to do X with monster Y but something goes wrong.

Plus the cast? I don't see Gross as a stong male lead and what I have seen of the supporting members, show better have T&A or it is in troble.

I won't watch Tremors: The Series even though I watched the movies. Michael Gross' character was funny during the first movie & then he got annoying (somebody just shove a shotgun down his throat & shut him up).

But I digress...

I really can't see the series running past first season.

It may veryu well suck very badly, I just want to give it a fair try and see how it goes. Then I can make fun of it, or be pleasently suprised.

I plan on giving it a chance but they are really making it hard, if it's as stupid as the commercials look it will be a short chance.

I loved the survivalist character from the movies. Finally, a movie had someone who was adequately armed. Unfortunatly, those previews posted seem to indicate there will be no graboid blasting and will likely devolve into a monster problem of the week show.
