I allow trips even against (corporeal) creatures with perfect manoeuvrability, unless you're an Umbral Blot, it's still going to be difficult to carry on moving if you're tumbling head-over-heels no matter what method you're using to fly. Also because it's a minor nerf to casters.

There aren't many countries that don't end sentences with full stops and start them with capital letters, and "trip attempt" was spelled correctly in the post immediately preceding his, so I'm betting it's just laziness.

It isn't a good idea to "bet" that someone is just lazy. Either way, it's an insult to either his language skills, or his posting ethics. And either way, it deterrs lurkers from posting, so as not to deal with posts like yours.

Starting to violate some rules up in this muh.

When I see a guy trying to trip a dragon, what comes to mind is a Storm Giant or Titan waiting as the dragon swoops down on to make a pass against him. The Giant/Titan resolves himself to taking the breath weapon, and as the dragon gets close enough to circle back into the sky, the Giant/Titan grabs him by the front legs or head. The momentum of it's rear during that crucial moment in flight would cause the dragon to up-end itself and crash every time.
The only problem is that the weight of the thing attempting to pull off such a maneuver would have to be very high.

I'd say that in order to trip a flying creature, one key requirement is that you be able to easily reach it's flying appendages. In the case of a fly-by attack, I'm not sure that is really the case, especially for flying creatures larger than yourself.

Basically, same decision-making that applies to not letting Tiny characters score critical hits on Huge enemies; they can't reach the vital parts.

reach should not be a problem whit an large speer. in fakt i could reach the wings of the passing dragon whit my guisarme too entangle them (atk agains Touch AC + a little cover maybe ) and then drag him down to earth (str-check [maybe using the modifiers linked to the Maneuverability above])...What do you Guys think about it?

I certainly welcome you to make a strength check against a dragon.

While seemingly implausible, the dragon gets a lot of trip modifiers due to size and stability. If you can overcome those, you have made a super-heroic effort and should be rewarded with the stall IMHO.

I completely agree. It's just that being rewarded with said stall isn't likely.

^^ you all are right but a it is a chance and i think it is stupit to waste it even if its like 5% an if it is the only way to harm that dragon efectively i will give it a try, should it ever hapen
