I agree completely.

The latest FAQ, however, says that you use the racial HD of the form for calculating DCs.

It also says you use the racial HD of the form for determining vulnerability to spells with HD-based limits. So if the Wiz-18 shapechanges into a trog, he's considered to have 2HD, not 18, when someone casts Sleep.

For the record, I consider this FAQ entry to be bollocks
