Troll Lord Games Great Sale

Since it's become traditional to point out great deals in General Discussion, I'd like to point out that Troll Lord has a great sale right now. Almost all hardback & softcover books are on sale for $10 each. Much of the emphasis has been on Castles and Crusades, but there is a lot of d20 stuff there including Necromancer Games products.

I decided to pick up Castles & Crusades (so I can convert the Castle Zagyg stuff later) and the Monster of all Encounter Tables. I was wavering on Yggsburgh, and decided against it (it looks good, but I have plenty of fantasy cities right now).

IMHO, it's not that useful. Much of the book is on familiar for other classes. Which is good if you want that, but if you don't, then much of the book is a waste (I was expecting more on actual familiars, like the Dark Quest book).

Wow. Lost City of Barakus is in there. A steal at twice the price.

If you don't have it, but it now.
There are a lot of steals there, particularly Yggsburgh (which is huge and detailed).

Must second that. Yggsburgh is a great book, with tons of adventure hooks. I think it covers just the right amount of territory for a "home base" setting. I'm looking forward to the rest of the Castle Zagyg series (detailing the upper ruins and dungeons).

I grabbed Hall of Many Panes and some of the Gygax Fantasy World books. I already have a lot of Troll Lord's stuff. I recommend the C&C rulebooks and the Lejendary Adventure boxed set, too.

I bought a 2nd Printing of the C&C PHB since they cleaned up the formatting errors, been waiting forever for the LGS to get my copy in...screw 'em. I also bought Gygax's Living Fantasy book for info on life in a fantasy world. Finally I bought Yggsburg even though I plan to use the Castle Zagyg series in Greyhawk proper. Should be good though just to read.

I personally have got some amazing mileage out of Gygax's "The Canting Crew", and "The Heart of Glass", which is a very gritty and liberating take on city adventuring.

I heard mixed reviews on The Canting Crew. I haven't heard anything about Heart of Glass, I'll have to look into it.
