Trouble registering at The TARDIS

Legend
Inspired by the new Torchwood miniseries, I headed over to the TARDIS forums to chat about it. Once I arrived, I found that it appeared I'd have to register a separate account to post there, as my regular ENWorld details didn't work (is this correct?)

Once I'd progressed past the terms & conditions to the registration page, I ran across a difficulty: Where there should be an Image Verification block, there is only an error message.

Image Verification
Invalid public key. Make sure you copy and pasted it correctly.

The same message shows up when I view the page in either Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, so I get the impression it's a server-side problem. Is there anything I can do to get around it, or is it something that needs fixing?

I hope this is the appropriate place to report this. If not, my apologies.

Incidentally, you can also use your Facebook account if you have one. Quicker than registering a new account on the site.

Thanks, that's allowed me to register an account.

My troubles aren't over, however - I can't seem to log in. I fill in my username (same as for this site) and password, click Log In, and get taken to a Thank You For Logging In screen - but when it redirects back to the page I was viewing, I'm still not logged in.

This occurs in Google Chrome and Firefox, but not Internet Explorer - I can log in fine from there. I guess I could use IE for my Doctor Who-related forum browsing, but I don't really trust it as a piece of software.

I've tried resetting my password, but it's made no difference - I still can't log in from Chrome or Firefox. This one's really puzzling me.

Yup. That's an issue I'm aware of.

The problem is that they're both on the enworld.org domain. So your browser will have "enworld.org" cookies - either TARDIS or here at EN World; so it can't handle both. When you clear your cookies, you'll be fine with the first of the two you visit. Each browser has its own set of cookies, I believe.

It's a big pain. I have to use a different browser for each, too. The fix is to buy and set up a proper domain for the site, which I'll do if it gets a little busier.

Okay, that makes sense. I can work round it, now that I know why it's happening.

Thanks very much for your assistance.
