True Strike and AoO

Dax Doomslayer

Hi Folks,
Hopefully an easy question. If a mage casts true strike on his action and then an attack of opportunity is presented prior to his next action, would the mage get the true strike for the AoO and his next action? Or would it be just for the AoO? Any help you can give would be appreciated! Thanks.

Only for the NEXT attack. So, if he CHOOSES to take the AoO then he gets the +20 there. If he does not, then on his next attack.

IceBear

IceBear is correct.

True Strike works on the very next attack roll, no matter whether it's an AoO or anything else. You cannot "save" it for a later roll.

So if you see the wizard cast True Strike, and you just know the Disintegrate is coming, attempt a Disarm!

Mechanics say he opposes your disarm with an attack roll - poof! No more True Strike!
