Which thread? The IC thread? Well, you two are asleep, and I just announced my combat actions. So now it's all up to the DM.

You can choose any deity from the PHB and the "Complete" books, and any Faerun deity, you don't have to have deity if you don't want.

also it's not up to the DM what your history and appearance is. We all decided for ourselves.

How much money do I start with? Can I buy some scrolls with start up money? If so, that will change my spell list slightly.

ah, well we all just started with basic traveling gear, you know, backpack, latern, bedroll etc. and only basic equipment, I dunno, I wouldn't think you woul dbe able to spend startup money before actually starting th egame, as if you spent it before. But then again just ask the DM.
