Tumble to pick up an item during a move?

First Post
This happened in my game last night. A drow had been clobbered and sent flying by a trap and lost his grip on both of his weapons. The fighter/rogue asked if she could tumble over and pick up one of his weapons as part of the move. I figured, what the hell, it looks cool! I set the DC at 25, both to pick up the weapon and to avoid attacks of opportunity for doing so.

Sound ok, or too useful?

Considering the fact that he could have achieved the same by using two move actions instead of one I think it's ok, but I won't allow him to tumble forwards, get the item and tumble backwards with a single move action.
Also, I'd make two checks, one for picking the weapon (maybe DC 20, but also 25 is fine) and one to avoid the AoO (but if the opponent is disarmed this is not needed, as he doesn't threaten the area anyway)

It's a cool image; cartwheel over, pick up the weapon as you go. I like it.

It frickin' rocked in-game. She told me what she wanted to do and the other player had this look of doubt on his face when I said "Sure. Roll for it." But when she actually pulled it off (with a 27), he was just trippin' out.
