It also shows just how important a knights "shock" value was. Once a fully armoured man was committed to a fight it had to be over within a few minutes or his performance would degrade sharply.


Having grown up playing hockey, I think I get the picture. The shorter the shifts, the fresher the players and the more shifts they can take.
