The Plot:
The players have already been told the following. There's no wiggle here. The following is the concept.
One of the players has been kidnapped by a Red Dragon. He is sending this player, a Halfling Bard, to go to Tu'narath, capitol city of the Githyanki Empire, to barter.
Red Dragons have a pact with the Githyanki, with their Liche-Queen, Vlaakith, because the Red Consort of Tiamat gave the Queen her scepter.
Because of this every Red Dragon has the right to send his dignitaries to the capitol and barter for the services of a Legion of the Queen's finest troops.
What a mess...
What I would like from y'all:
Details, little nice pieces, NPCs, the finishing touches, any ideas on Tu'narath, city built on the body of a Dead God, floating in the flotsom of the Astral Plane.
The Astral Plane is said to be the place between all places. It is where ideas go to die. In Draconic it is called the "Graveyard Beyond the Sky."
Githyanki constantly training, children beating each other with wooden swords enamelled silver.
Returning Githyanki heroes with the heads of Illithid and Githzarai displayed proudly.
Skalds recite the tale of Gith and his defiance against the Blue Sunned Empire of the Illithid and how he fought their enslavement, plane to plane while the Githzarai fled to Limbo, thankless and traitorous.
A people so twisted by racial hatred that it has warped their entire way of life, warped their souls.
A hungry Liche-Queen who takes the souls of her people when they attain too much, go too far.
A wing of five Red Dragons flies overhead.
A bony Githyanki, with purple and gold robes, the color of the Liche-Queen approaches, clears his throat...
"Her Lady of 13 Silver Swords, Chosen by the High Red, Wielder of the Ephemelon Scepter, Immortal, Eternal, the Green-Eyed is ready for an audience.
She'll see you now."
