  • Grid Size: 36x46 10' Squares (72 dpi); VTT Size: 1229x1578
  • Areas 1, 17, and 31 b) have open pits.
  • Areas 1, 10 b), and 38 have statues.
  • Areas 4, 10 a), 15, 35, and 36 have pillars.
  • Areas 6, 27, and 31 a) have false doors.
  • Areas 10 and 36 have daises/raised platforms.
  • Area 11 has a tapestry.
  • Areas 18 a), 23, 25, 27, and 28 have covered pit traps.
  • Area 33 has a large mirror.

That's interestig that you start with the corridors first, instead of the rooms. I'd probably start with the rooms first, and then connect everything later. Curious why you work in that order?

I don't always start with the corridors first. It depends on the map. Sometimes I will start with rooms first. Most often, I start with the entrance and then do corridors and rooms as I expand from there. The map I was working on yesterday, I started with a large room in the centre and then spread out from there. Basically I go where the creative flow takes me.

Map Details:
  • Grid Size: 36x46 10' Squares (72 dpi); VTT Size: 1229x1578
  • Areas 1, 2, 11, 21, 24 a), and 38 have statues.
  • Areas 1, 2, 5, 11, and 31 have pillars.
  • Areas 1, 3, 11, and 20 a) have braziers.
  • Areas 3, 9, 19, 21, 23, 24 a), 29, 31, and 26 have false doors.
  • Area 4 b) has a covered pit trap that drops the unwary into the room on the lower elevation (note that this drop is twice as deep than the drop from the secret trap door in the floor at area 17).
  • The dash lines in areas 4 b) and 17 represent the walls of the lower elevation located under these areas.
  • Area 8 has a chute trap.
  • Area 11 has an open pit/well.
  • Area 17 has a secret trap door in the floor (that leads to the room on the lower elevation).
  • Area 19 has a tapestry.
  • Area 20 a) has trap doors in the floor that lead to areas 20 b) and c).
  • Area 24 b) has a pool of water.

  • Areas 1 and 18 have open pits that grant access to the lower levels. Perhaps this pits are magical in nature and allow safe passage up and down (like an invisible elevator/lift) when a command word is spoken.
  • Areas 1, 4 a), 18, 19 a), 23, and 25 a) have braziers.
  • Areas 2, 5, 12, 17, 22, and 23 have false doors.
  • Areas 4, 7 a), 18, and 25 have statues.
  • The circular dotted lines of areas 4 a) and 19 a) represent holes in the ceilings.
  • Areas 4 b), 5, and 19 b) have covered pit traps.
  • Areas 6 and 17 have tapestries.
  • Area 19 and 20 have pillars.
  • Area 25 b) has an altar on a dais/raised platform.
  • Area 27 has a pool of water.
  • Area 28 has loose rubble along the cave walls. There are two large holes in the cave floor.

  • Area 19 has bars/gates blocking access.
  • Area 19 has a pool.

Here is the October 9th, 2020 Friday Freebie map. Click to enlarge. This is my 'Imperial Droid/Legion of Doom HQ' dungeon entrance. The idea is the dungeon extends mostly horizontally but has a few lower levels (via the open pits on this map) as well.

  • Area 1 has a dais with rubble on top of it (a smashed statue?).

  • Areas 5 b) and 20 have tapestries.

Ah, i didn't read the top paragraph, I guess I just really wanted to get to the map...

I do note that if I blur my eyes a bit, and look at the map - it does slightly resemble a certain droid that only speaks in whistles and boops...
