I want to confirm whether this was definitely the source of the javascript errors we were receiving. I sent a support request to the developers of the product, and they were unable to verify the errors.
So, just in case the timing was a coincidence, I'm turning it back on again temporarily. If you're getting javascript errors (usually manifests as WYSIWYG formatting buttons not working, etc.), please let me know, and specifically report the error as accurately as you can.
Then I can resubmit the support request, once we've definitely confirmed the cause.
Thanks folks; and apologies if this causes some temoprary inconvenience. If the errors return, I can turn it off with a mouseclick.
