Turtle Soup (Planescape 3.5e)

The dragon suddenly cranes its neck, issues a musical trill, squirms out of Rhys' grasp, and bounds off up the stairs into the coils of the World Serpent. Sysente and her companions follow, and the turtles follow suit.

"Well, here goes. Come on, cutters!"

Andarin runs up the stairs, pausing only to grab a particularly choice cheese and stuff it in his pack.

Once again Jurden stands and silently pursue's his short friend, loping along at an easy pace. If the dragon is especially speedy, Jurden will scoop Andarin up until the dragon comes to a stop.

"C'mon Rhys, your dragon is leaving us behind!" Looking behind him, "Meenah, Traore, keep up!"

"Looks like the First is eager to get some air. Can't say I blame him." Crinkling his nose Rhys adds, "Smells like spilled booze and sweat down here."

Turning to Meenah and Traore he says, "You bloods are in for a surprise. The Cage aint like nothing you've ever seen before. I'd try to stick close the wee one and big Blue. They seem to know their way."

Giving them both a grin the lithe Fey-Touched turns and nimbly speeds up the stairs after Andarrin and Jurden.

Traore STands up and feel the ground spining a bit before it stabilize... his body starts to purge out the effect of alcool, but he isn't in his full shape.

"Fresh air. Good for mi too. Still spinning here."

He starts to follow the other, but even if he is not walking straight, he still follow Rhys without problem.

"We seen Sigil... but only small part. Unique and strange it is."

The head of the stairs opens into a warmly lit corridor about 40 feet long and 8 feet wide. The walls are off-white brushed plaster with ornate dark hardwood molding. The golden light comes from the ceiling about 12 feet up, which seems to be made of golden smoke. The floor is stained wood planking with a greasy sheen. There is a door on the left about halfway down the hall and a double door at the end of the hall.

"Hey, where did that dragon go?" Andarin glances up, admiring the "ceiling", then moves down the corridor and opens the door on the left. If there's nothing interesting within he moves down to the double doors to see what's behind them.

Traore stops for a moment, looking at the room. He is still impress by the new looks. All seems so strange and wonderfull in this world. Then he remark it is emty except of them.

"What now?"
